Mr. Basil Hwang is the Founder and Managing Partner of Hauzen LLP. He is also the Vice-Chairman of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce (Hong Kong), Singapore’s sole official business chamber in Hong Kong.

Chandy is a seasoned dual qualified Hong Kong solicitor and PRC lawyer with over 10 years of experience, specializing in cybersecurity, data protection and privacy compliance matters. She has been actively involved in the consultation of the Protection of Critical Infrastructures (Computer Systems) Ordinance in Hong Kong.  Chandy has unique and cutting-edge expertise as in-house counsel working in the cross-functional global cybersecurity compliance program of a major cloud services company, handling various complicated cybersecurity, cross-border data transfer and privacy compliance issues under the EU GDPR, China PIPL, Hong Kong PDPO and Macao PDPA. 

Chandy is recognized as a  Fellow of Information Privacy (“FIP”), certified Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP), a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E), a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) by the IAPP and Certified Information Security Professional (CISP).

Conrad Wan
Barrister-at-Law, Capital Chambers 
 

Conrad Wan is a Barrister-at-Law at Capital Chambers in Hong Kong. His practice spans both criminal and civil work, with a focus on asset recovery, civil fraud, and commercial disputes. He acts for multinational corporations, listed companies, high-net-worth individuals, and PRC state-owned enterprises in cross-border contentious and non-contentious matters. In recent years, he has built a dedicated practice in cryptocurrency and blockchain disputes, handling cases involving cyber fraud, digital asset tracing and enforcement.

Conrad regularly handles matters involving the ICAC, the SFC, and the Commercial Crime Bureau, and has considerable experience in financial and white-collar crime cases. He holds rights of audience at the Astana International Financial Centre Court in Kazakhstan. Conrad read for his Bachelor of Science at the University of Bradford and his Bachelor of Laws at the University of London. He was called to the Hong Kong Bar in 2008.

Gordon Chan

Mr Gordon Chan is a Hong Kong barrister at Alfred K C Fung Chambers. He specialises in medical, technology, and criminal law, particularly death inquests, disciplinary inquiries, white-collar crimes, and cases involving emerging technologies such as AI and cryptocurrencies. His versatile practice also covers civil and administrative law, often intersecting with public health, regulatory compliance, and human rights. He has been involved in high-profile death inquests with juries, as well as criminal appeals, including HKSAR v FUNG Hoi-yeung [2022] HKCA 1073, a case concerning digital evidence that the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal has cited with approval.


Gordon is a legal writer and law lecturer. He contributes to Halsbury’s Laws of Hong Kong and Archbold Hong Kong and has been recognised as a Lexology Legal Influencer for Q4 2025 in the Future of Legal Services - Asia-Pacific category, reflecting his thought leadership in writing on topics including AI in the courtroom, cybercrime reforms, and reproductive technology ethics. He is a part-time lecturer at the University of Hong Kong, teaching the Clinical Legal Education course. Gordon holds a BSc in Biochemistry from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, an LLB from Manchester Metropolitan University, a PCLL from the University of Hong Kong, and a Diploma in Legal Medicine from the Faculty of Forensic & Legal Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians of London. Sum Lam is an international technology lawyer who serves as the Head of Patents at Eversheds Sutherland and as Chair of the Hong Kong Institute of Patent Attorneys. His extensive practice spans the United Kingdom, European Union, United States, China, and Hong Kong. He holds multiple qualifications, including Solicitor Advocate of England & Wales (Civil and Criminal), Solicitor of Ireland, and Attorney at Law in the US (Washington state and federal courts), alongside being a qualified lawyer in China and a registered patent attorney. His vast practical experience is underscored by his involvement in over 16,000 technology-related cases. His academic background is multidisciplinary, with studies in science (CUHK and Harvard), business (University of Oxford), and law (Tsinghua University, King's College London, and UC Berkeley), giving him an international perspective on complex technology law matters.
